A 60-Year-Old House Renovation In Montreal: Nordet Residence by APPAREIL architecture

Canada-based architecture firm APPAREIL architecture transformed a 60-year-old house into this a contemporary residence. It’s located in Montreal, Canada.

“Located just out of Montreal in Ville St-Laurent, this existing house was built following the same characteristics as what is known in the city as “veteran” homes. The body of the building was retained, and an extension was added to meet the clients’ needs, with careful consideration to retain the personality of the house or to respect its original volume. At the back, large windows have been added to create an openness between inside and outside, and to maximize the natural light.” – APPAREIL architecture
